Frequently Asked Questions
You may contact the company at any time with questions about
any aspect of our work. The following questions are those that new models often
ask us. Read on and find out the answers. NB. Scroll down to read all
of them!
Where do the shoots take place?
We normally use the photographer's flat for shoots, but we can also use hotel
rooms, hired studios or even the model's place, basically whatever location
best suits the situation.
What do models have
to do in a shoot?
For a solo shoot you will be expected to strip, wank and produce a cum shot.
If you are working with another model in a one-on-one scene, there will be sexual
foreplay (kissing, sucking, wanking etc.) then one model must fuck the other
and both need to cum at the end. This is all pretty standard stuff for a porn
site. No matter what type of scene you are working in, obviously the camera
will be pointing at you the whole time while you are in action, and you need
to be cool with that.
How much will I get paid?
Rates vary according to the situation, but Scotmalez currently pays models 125 GBP (UK Pounds) for each session worked. Web site owners employing models directly may pay
more, and DVD producers more still, but this depends on the situation and is
not guaranteed. Our modelling fees are realistic and standard throughout the
UK porn industry (see our 'Learn More' page - links left).
How do I know I can trust you?
We have built up a good reputation over the years for treating our models well.
We always discuss the shoot fully with you before we begin and agree what you will be doing during it, so there are no unexpected surprises,
and we always respect your limits. We want you to feel safe, comfortable and confident about doing work for us.
Will I have to perform in front of a whole crew of people?
No, during our shoots, only the model(s) and the photographer will be present. This
will help you to concentrate on producing a good set of images without any distractions
or onlookers.
How long will the shoot take?
Your photo session will last as long as it needs to, so that you are relaxed
and ready to give a good performance. For that reason we do not recommend setting
up any other appointments on the same day. If you are thinking about being late
for your next appointment, it is going to have a negative effect in your photo
shoot.
What if I am nervous and can't get hard?
Don't worry, we have porn videos and magazines to help get you in the
mood, and we only work at the model's pace. We want you to feel safe,
comfortable and enjoy the shoot.
Do I need to have to have a big dick to be a
porn model?
Not really, we just want you to project your personality on camera. If
you look like you are enjoying the experience, that will come across to
anyone seeing your pics. Of course, if you can do that, and you
have a big dick, that's a bonus!
Why do I need to provide ID?
The photographer cannot agree to shoot your photos, unless you can prove categorically,
that you are at least 18 years old on the day. Acceptable forms of photo ID
are Passport or Drivers License. On the day of your shoot, the photographer
will take a copy of your ID for his records and give it right back to you. That's
the law and there can be no exceptions.
What if my parents find out I have done this?
You are over 18 and an adult, so it's up to you to decide if you want to do
this type of work, but unless your parents surf gay porn web sites (we didn't
think so either), how would they find out anyway? If you are not totally comfortable
with the idea of working as a porn model, our advice would be - try some other
type of work instead!
Will my friends be able to see my nude
pictures on a porn site?
Yes that is possible, If they pay the membership subscription to the
site where your photos are being displayed. If this is a problem, and if you
are not totally comfortable with the idea of working as a porn model, our advice
would be - try some other type of work instead!
Could doing porn affect my chances of getting a proper job later on in life?
You need to be sensible about your choice of career. For most people doing porn won't affect them at all in the job market, but if you are intending to take up a high profile job, or one that will place you in the public eye, then maybe doing porn is not for you.
What are the chances of getting more
porn modelling work?
That is really down to you. If you want to get regular work in the industry
you need to start as soon as you are legal at age 18, and get yourself known to as many porn sites and photographers as you
can. We can also put you in touch with UK based agencies that specialise in arranging porn work for guys who want to model for it.
Why is there such a
narrow age range (18 to 25) for models?
The customers to whom we sell our images to are generally described as
"teen" or "twink" web sites,
so it makes sense that we should only offer them models who meet those requirements.
Do you often reject guys who
apply to model and why?
It makes sense that you need to fit in with our customer's requirements before
we can offer you any shoots. If you are in any doubt, please look at our 'Models'
page to check out what is needed.
Where can I get more general information about porn modelling and the market for porn material?
We have a page on this site, which explains the current state of the world market
for porn material and models. It also explains the likely rates of pay for potential
models in the different countries where porn material is generally produced.
